DEVELOPING EDUCATIONAL TOURISM VILLAGE AS THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MBKM PROGRAM BASED ON THE HOTS LITERACY IN PAGELARAN VILLAGE, MALANG REGENCY

  The implementation of strengthening the Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn) and Kampus Merdeka (Independent Campus)  for increasing HOTS Literacy is an activity to build a village through developing tourism village packages based on educational products. This educational product is also intended to implement a superior model of higher education. Educational tour package products are implemented for school students around the village. The development of an educational tourism village involves students from various study programs, including Arabic education, Psychology, Management,  Fine Arts Education, and  Mathematics, as well as field supervisors.

        This Educational Tourism Village activity is packaged as teaching activities that aim to assist formal and non-formal teaching in Educational Tourism Villages. In order to have a sustainable impact on the village, learning activities are packaged into tour packages that the village can manage in the future. The process of teaching and learning with students through the Educational Tourism Village outside the campus is one of the essential manifestations of student-centred learning.

The village that developed into an educational tourism village is Pagelaran Village, Pagelaran District, Malang Regency. The methods developed are program socialization to the community in Pagelaran Village, recruitment of training participants; providing insight to community members, especially students of class IX SMP Sunan Ampel Desa Pagelaran about the art of crafts or pottery crafts which include: the history of pottery, pottery creations, pottery waste processing, educational tours, providing insight to community members, especially pottery artisans about tour guides, digitalization of marketing, visual design, and the making of tourist village SOPs, preparation of equipment and production houses/workshop locations needed to produce handicrafts, learning assistance according to the model offered to junior high school students, trial implementation of the results of workshops and tourist visits plus other works. The work of students participating in the MBKM program.

     Training activities (workshops) were carried out to support the development of educative tourism villages. Some activities were conducted to increase the involvement of residents and the craftsman community in Pagelaran village by utilizing the potential of their village. Otherwise, the developing ideas of the youth can encourage residents to fight and work and serve their village. Finally, accelerating development in the village based on progressive and innovative ideas can make the village an educative tourism village. Not forgetting the role of mentoring with institutions such as the State University of Malang in collaboration can create ‘Eduwisata Pottery Performances in absolute terms and is expected to be sustainable. The activity results are also proven to be able to foster youth idealism in absorbing new values ​​and ideas to realize other new ideas. The results of the activities for students are tremendous, including providing opportunities for students to develop Villages to increase sensitivity in seeing the problems that exist in the community, familiarizing them with collaborating with parties to complete rural development, strengthening student knowledge by applying their knowledge.
