The aim of designing promotional media for the short film “Kalut” is to enhance visibility and understanding of the social issues it addresses, particularly concerning social anxiety among teenagers. This film, produced by KONA Studio, consists of seven students from the Visual Communication Design program at Universitas Negeri Malang, and it highlights the life of an introvert and the challenges faced within family relationships. Through social media, especially Instagram, the film aims to reach a broader audience and create deeper awareness of this sensitive topic.

In this project, promotional media is crafted to capture viewers’ attention through engaging and informative visual content. Instagram serves as the primary platform due to its ability to disseminate information rapidly and widely. By designing captivating content, including teasers, posters, and film-related information, it is hoped to spark curiosity and interest among the public to watch the film.

This media design also aims to build a supportive community that is aware of mental health issues. Thus, the project aligns with the importance of the creative industry in driving sustainable economic growth. Through this approach, “Kalut” not only stands as a film but also serves as a tool to foster dialogue about social anxiety and the significance of community support.
