MENTALLY STRENGTHEN THE NEXT GENERATION OF ANTI-DRUGS THROUGH GEBRAN

GEBRAN (Anti-Drug Achievement Generation) is one of the work programs of the Education Sector of the Indonesian Literature Department Student Association in the form of an online seminar. This activity was held online or online through the Zoom Cloud Meetings application on May 2, 2021. The activity was carried out online because there were still rampant cases of Covid-19 at that time. This activity is carried out with a series of activities from 08.30 in the morning until 11.45 in the afternoon. The target of the GEBRAN (Anti-Drug Achievement Generation) activity is the general public throughout Indonesia. In its implementation, the number of participants who took part in GEBRAN amounted to 150, with quantity from various circles.

This activity has the theme, “Combating the Misuse of New Types of Drugs and Their Distribution Methods to Create a Successful Next Generation of the Nation.” With the presence of this activity, the next generation of the nation can realize the nation’s goals as a country free from drug abuse. Through this theme, this activity’s primary orientation is centered on the movement against drug abuse. The series of activities included counseling on new types of drug abuse and their distribution mode aimed at the general public. The GEBRAN (Anti-Drug Achievement Generation) activity is carried out to emphasize that all levels of society

need to have a role in protecting the younger generation from drug abuse. This activity will be open to the general public.

The scope of activities of GEBRAN (Anti-Drug Achievement Generation) is the general public throughout Indonesia. This scope includes increasing the spirit of the nation’s next generation, who excels in preventing drug abuse and trafficking and building the nation’s character. The objectives of GEBRAN’s activities include providing understanding for the nation’s next generation to excel and be free from drugs; providing understanding for the next generation of the nation about the dangers of drugs; providing education to change the future of the nation into a nation full of achievements, health, and vigilance against drug abuse; and strengthen the mentality of the nation’s next generation to face the impact of globalization, especially the problem of drugs.
