The 2024 Indonesian Traditional Music Conservation and Innovation Workshop (Lokovasia) organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) together with the Musike SJ Foundation aims to preserve and develop Indonesian traditional music in order to support decent work and economic growth. This activity provides space for participants from all over Indonesia, including from East Java, West Java, Central Java, NTT, and Bali, to showcase their creativity both indoors and outdoors, with the main event taking place at the gate of Jalan Veteran, State University of Malang on September 3, 2024.

In addition, the 2024 Indonesian Traditional Music Conservation and Innovation Workshop (Lokovasia) aims to enrich the public’s insight, especially students, regarding Indonesian traditional music as an important aspect in maintaining cultural diversity. Students of the Visual Communication Design Study Program, State University of Malang are encouraged to attend and appreciate this activity, not only to expand their knowledge of traditional music, but also to participate in cultural preservation efforts.

With the active participation of students and the general public, the 2024 Indonesian Traditional Music Conservation and Innovation Workshop (Lokovasia) is expected to become a forum for developing innovation in traditional music, opening up creative economic opportunities, and encouraging a deeper understanding of the importance of synergy between cultural preservation and inclusive economic growth.
