Learning in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic and the industrial revolution 4.0 presents challenges for lecturers and students in lectures. Lecturers are required not to stutter in technology and be able to master technology well to carry out online learning and assessment. Some experts say that the Indonesian government has encouraged the use of technology as a tool in the world of education in receiving and developing knowledge. One of the innovations created by Dr. Primardiana Hermilia Wijayati, M.Pd, a German lecturer at the State University of Malang, is developing a digital book based on the Flip PDF Professional application in the course Evaluation in German Teaching. The digital book is intended for German students at the State University of Malang taking the course Evaluation in German Teaching. The digital book development activity lasted six months, from May 2021 to November 2021. In addition to producing teaching materials in the form of digital books based on the Flip PDF Professional application, Dr. Primardiana Hermilia Wijayati, M.Pd, together with the team, wanted to describe students’ perceptions of the digital book.

Dr. Primardiana Hermilia Wijayati, M.Pd said that the stages of developing a digital book use a 4D pattern: define, design, develop, and disseminate. These digital books can be accessed through electronic devices, including personal computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones, anywhere and anytime with a good internet connection.
