NVIVO WORKSHOP FOR THE RESEARCH: NATURAL REPRESENTATION IN NATHANIEL HAWTHORNE’S WORKS, AN ECOCRITICISM STUDY

Studies of environmental problems, such as pollution, climate change, or natural catastrophe mitigation, are typically found in the biological, ecological, and other natural sciences. To analyze significant and current environmental concerns, however, research from the Humanistic perspective is also required in order to comprehend the implications of environmental change. The research on ecocriticism of nature’s representation in Nathaniel Hawthorne’s works was carried out within this theoretical framework, which offers insight on how environmental concerns and natural aspects. In order to achieve the purposes of this research, a Workshop on how to use Nvivo, a research tool useful in this Literary Study, was conducted on 5-8 July 2021 and 22 November 2021 in Centre for Language and Culture Universitas Negeri Malang, via Zoom due to Pandemic restrictions. This workshop involved researchers and students of Universitas Negeri Malang to learn the application of Nvivo software to process the data for the Research
