On 23 September 2024, at the International Seminar on Indonesian Language-Literature organized by PROBSI Cendekia at Universitas Negeri Malang, Associate Prof. Dr. Sabzali Musa Kahn from University Malaya delivered an inspiring presentation on the extraordinary achievements of people with disabilities in international Abilympic competitions. Dr. Sabzali highlighted how the event is an arena to display skills and a symbol of struggle and proof that every individual, regardless of physical condition, has the same rights and opportunities to achieve achievements.

Dr. Sabzali explained that Abilympic, a skills olympiad for people with disabilities, provides a space for them to showcase their abilities in various fields, such as arts, crafts, technology, and social services. This competition is not just about winning but also about changing society’s view of the potential of people with disabilities. Through this event, they can prove that physical limitations are not barriers to work and achievement.

Furthermore, Dr. Sabzali linked the achievements of people with disabilities in the Abilympic to the importance of creating an inclusive and fair society where everyone has the same opportunity to thrive regardless of their background or physical condition. He says their achievements show that equal rights and opportunities must be realized in various sectors, including education, employment, and social activities.

The presentations were inspiring and provided insight that diversity, including disability, should be seen as a strength, not an obstacle, in creating a more inclusive and competitive society.
