On September 23, 2024, Dr. Ariani Selviana Pardosi, a lecturer from Jilin International Studies University (JISU), gave an important presentation on the role of language mastery and foreign cultural knowledge in supporting industrial progress. The presentation was delivered at the International Seminar on Indonesian Language-Literature organized by PROBSI Cendekia at the State University of Malang.

Dr. Ariani revealed that in the era of globalization, mastery of foreign languages opens up communication opportunities across countries and is also the key to understanding and entering the global market. Language and knowledge of foreign cultures are essential for industries to expand international business networks, understand consumer preferences in different countries, and adapt to constantly evolving market trends.

In addition, Dr. Ariani emphasized that foreign cultural knowledge facilitates a deeper understanding of the workings and customs of international markets, which plays a significant role in avoiding miscommunication and accelerating market penetration. These skills also contribute to developing products and services more relevant to global needs.

In industries that are increasingly dependent on innovation and technology, mastery of foreign languages and cultures provides a competitive advantage. Dr. Ariani suggests that universities enhance curricula that combine language education with cultural understanding to produce a workforce ready to face the challenges of global industry and promote sustainable, technology-based economic growth.
