International Seminar and National Working Meeting of PROBSI CENDEKIA at State University of Malang: Enhancing Global Collaboration in the Development of Indonesian Language and Literature

The State University of Malang hosted the International Seminar and National Work Meeting of PROBSI CENDEKIA (Perkumpulan Program Studi Bahasa Sastra Indonesia) from 23 to 25 September 2024. Academics, researchers, and educational practitioners from various countries attended the event, which aimed to strengthen international networks in the field of Indonesian language and literature studies.
The first two days of the international seminar focused on “The Role of Indonesian Language and Literature in Strengthening Global Networks.” Participants discussed various topics related to curriculum development, the utilization of technology in language learning, and efforts to strengthen literacy culture at the international level. In-depth discussions on innovations in Indonesian language teaching and global challenges in literature preservation enriched the academic perspectives of each participant from different parts of the world.
The National Working Meeting focused on strategic planning for developing Indonesian language and literature study programs in universities throughout Indonesia. This activity also served as a forum to formulate concrete steps to improve the quality of Indonesian language education and expand its impact at the global level.
This seminar and National Working Meeting demonstrate PROBSI CENDEKIA’s commitment to encouraging closer international collaboration and strengthening the position of the Indonesian language and literature in the global arena through mutually beneficial educational cooperation.
