ICA DECS 2024, themed “Creative Synergy between Technology and Tradition in Art, Design, Education, and Cultural Studies,” is a strategic platform to foster innovation in art and design learning. The conference plays an important role in enriching the quality of education by integrating modern technological approaches with traditional values, which can improve teaching and learning methods in the field of art and design.
One of the main aspects of the conference was a presentation by Dr. Muchammad Bayu Tejo Sampurno from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Malaysia, who raised the sub-theme “Cultural Heritage: Leveraging Technology to Document and Promote Tradition.” This material illustrates how technology not only serves as a tool for innovation, but also as a bridge between the past and the future in art education. Through this approach, educators and students can develop learning methods that are more dynamic, interactive, and relevant to the needs of the times.
By facilitating in-depth and collaborative discussions, ICA DECS 2024 encourages participants to explore new ways of teaching and learning art and design. Innovations in education resulting from this conference are expected to produce a more inclusive, adaptive, and future-oriented curriculum, which in turn will improve the quality of graduates who are ready to face global challenges. Overall, ICA DECS 2024 not only contributes to academic progress but also to the development of individual and institutional capacity in creating a better educational environment.
