The 6th International Conference on Art, Design, Education, and Cultural Studies organized by the Faculty of Letters, Department of Art & Design, State University of Malang on July 25, 2024, focuses on the theme ‘Creative Synergy between Technology & Tradition in Art, Design, and Education.’ This conference not only explores the interaction between technology and traditional practices, but also plays an important role in supporting Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.

This activity aims to promote the use of technology as a tool to encourage the development of the creative industry. By presenting Prof. Dr. Badrul Isa from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia, who will discuss ‘Technology as a Bridge between the Past and the Future in Art and Design Education,’ this conference focuses on how technology can be used to innovate and strengthen the creative industry. Technology not only accelerates the creative process but also opens up new opportunities for design and art, expands the global market, and improves production efficiency.

By integrating advanced technology into art and design practices, ICA DECS 2024 aims to encourage innovation that can strengthen the infrastructure of the creative industry and create sustainable positive impacts. This conference provides a platform to share knowledge and strategies that can help creative professionals and educators in adapting and utilizing technology for more advanced and sustainable industrial development.
