ICA DECS 2024, organized by the Faculty of Letters, Department of Art & Design, State University of Malang, presents the theme ‘Creative Synergy between Technology & Tradition in Art, Design, and Education.’ The conference will be held on July 25, 2024 at the AVA D14 building, and aims to explore how technology and tradition can complement each other in the development of art and design. Gender equality is an important element in ensuring that all individuals, regardless of gender, have equal opportunities to participate and develop in various fields, including art and design.

ICA DECS 2024 is committed to encouraging the active participation of both women and men in discussions and practices of art and design. By presenting an international resource person, namely Prof. Dr. Badrul Isa from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia, who will discuss technology as a bridge between the past and the future in art and design education, this conference will provide a platform for diverse perspectives and ensure gender inclusion.

Through discussion and collaboration, ICA DECS 2024 aims to inspire positive change in the way art and design are practiced and taught, emphasizing the importance of gender equality as part of creative innovation. In doing so, the event not only celebrates the synergy between technology and tradition, but also supports global efforts to achieve gender equality across the creative sector.and sustainable design.
