The ICADECS 2024 workshop that took place at the Department of Art and Design, Faculty of Letters, State University of Malang, offered a valuable opportunity to explore and apply the principles of SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production in the world of design. The activity aimed to motivate participants to create design works that are not only visually appealing but also contribute to waste reduction and efficient use of resources. During the workshop, participants gained valuable insights from presenters and resource persons on environmentally friendly design techniques and strategies to implement them in daily practice.

One of the most memorable moments of this event was the group photo session, where lecturers from the Department of Art and Design joined the presenters and resource persons. This photo session is not only a precious memory but also a symbol of the strong partnership between academics and practitioners. The presence of presenters and resource persons provided an in-depth perspective on the importance of responsible and innovative design.

On this occasion, participants were invited to discuss and collaborate in developing design ideas that support more sustainable consumption and production. This workshop is expected to strengthen the connection between theory and practice, and encourage the creation of design solutions that are more mindful of their impact on the environment and society. Through this event, Universitas Negeri Malang affirms its commitment to support the SDGs and promote more responsible design.
