The ICADECS 2024 workshop at the Department of Art and Design, Faculty of Letters, State University of Malang, began with an enthusiastic welcome from the lecturers who showed their commitment to sustainable development. The event aimed to inspire participants to apply the principles of SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production in every design work. The lecturers emphasized the importance of creating designs that are not only aesthetic but also contribute to waste reduction and efficient use of resources.

During the workshop, participants were given the opportunity to discuss and collaborate in developing innovative and environmentally friendly design solutions. The event also served as a platform to strengthen partnerships between academics and practitioners, with the aim of encouraging the creation of more sustainable and effective designs. Through this collaboration, it is hoped that designs that are more mindful of their impact on the environment and society will be created.
