On May 28, 2024, the Head of the Dance Education Program from Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) and his team visited Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) to explore collaboration on training activities for Arts and Culture teachers. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of arts education with a focus on reducing inequalities within and between countries.

The meeting at Universitas Negeri Malang discussed the design of a training program that equips teachers with innovative teaching methods and creative techniques relevant to the needs of various community groups. Arts and Culture teachers will be introduced to various pedagogical approaches that can help them create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment for all students. The program also includes training in the use of digital technology and new media in art education, which is expected to increase student engagement and enrich their learning experiences.

This collaboration aims to strengthen arts education while reducing inequalities in access to quality education across different regions. By building synergy between UNNES and UM, the goal is to create a training program that not only provides direct benefits to teachers and students but also contributes to the development of inclusive local culture and arts.

Additionally, this collaboration involves active participation from faculty members, students, and other stakeholders. Through this partnership, both universities strive to ensure that all students, including those in remote areas or with special needs, receive equitable and high-quality arts education.

The commitment is to reduce inequalities within and between countries. Through this training, Arts and Culture teachers will be better prepared to inspire and educate the younger generation, equipping them with the skills needed to face future challenges. The program also promotes inclusivity by providing quality education access to all students, regardless of their socio-economic background.

Overall, the visit by the Head of the Dance Education Program from UNNES and his team to Universitas Negeri Malang represents a significant step in improving the quality of arts education in Indonesia and supporting its goals. By facilitating training for Arts and Culture teachers, both universities are contributing to the development of better and more sustainable human resources..
