SDN 2 Sumberejo, Malang Regency, held community service activities with the theme of cinema project training to improve critical thinking and collaboration for elementary school students. This activity was held on Saturday, July 20 2024 and presented Dr. Wida Rahayuningtyas S.Pd, M.Pd as resource person.

One of the materials discussed in this activity is the use of theater as a learning medium for students. Dr. Wida Rahayuningtyas explained that theater can help students to develop various skills, such as communication skills, collaboration skills, critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, creativity skills. Theater can also help students to learn about various cultures and life values. Apart from that, theater can also be a fun medium for learning. SDN 2 Sumberejo has implemented the use of theater as a learning medium in several subjects, such as Indonesian, English and arts and culture. The students showed high enthusiasm in participating in this theater activity.

The use of theater as a learning medium at SDN 2 Sumberejo has shown positive results. Students demonstrated improvements in communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. In addition, the students also showed an increase in their knowledge and understanding of various cultures and life values. SDN 2 Sumberejo hopes to continue to develop the use of theater as a learning medium to provide greater benefits for its students.
