Guest Lecture: Criticism and Literature Appreciation

On April 25, 2024, the Department of Indonesian Literature, State University of Malang, will organize a Guest Lecture entitled “Literary Appreciation and Criticism” through a Zoom Meeting. This activity aims to facilitate deep collaboration in learning between the team teaching the Literary Appreciation and Criticism course, Dr. Nita Widiati M. Pd from the State University of Malang, and Prof. Madya Dr. Norhayati AB Rahman from Universiti Malaya.

Prof. Madya Dr. Norhayati AB Rahman, a resource person from outside UM in this guest lecture, brings rich experience and knowledge about literary appreciation and criticism. She will explore various critical approaches to literature and provide deep insights into current trends and developments in literary studies.

This activity is an important forum to broaden the perspectives of students and lecturers on various theories and methodologies in literary appreciation and literary criticism techniques. This class also has a purpose to exchange ideas and discuss relevant topics.

This collaboration is expected to enrich academic discussions about literature and provide new inspiration for understanding and appreciating literary works. In addition, this guest lecture is also a concrete step in building a network of cross-institutional cooperation in literary education and research at the regional level.

By inviting Prof. Madya Dr. Norhayati AB Rahman as a guest speaker, this activity not only improves the quality of teaching at the State University of Malang but also strengthens international involvement in the development of literary science globally.
