To Knit Cooperation, The English Language Education Study Program at Lambung Mangkurat University Conducted A Working Visit To The English Language Education Study Program at Malang State University
To establish good cooperative relations with reference universities from various regions in Indonesia, the English Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) visited the English Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Letters (FS), State University of Malang (UM) on Tuesday (14/6). Departing from the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program, the primary purpose of this visit is as a means of discussion and exchange of information between the two study programs concerned to be able to succeed and take part in the program promoted by KEMDIKBUD. In addition, the S-1 English Education Study Program, FKIP, ULM also wants to study the journey of the S-1 English Education Study Program, FS, UM as a comparison and a new reference for the journey of their study program in the future.
This visit was not only carried out by the S-1 English Education Study Program, FKIP, ULM but also by the Indonesian Language Doctoral Education Study Program, Undergraduate Program, ULM to the S-3 Indonesian Language Education Study Program, FS, UM with the aim of a mock study. Therefore, this visit was divided into two sessions held in two different rooms. Centered in the UM FS courtroom (building D16, 2nd floor), the event started right at 08.00 WIB with the introduction of the announcer by the MC. She was followed by remarks by Deputy Dean 1, FS, UM, Dr. Primardiana Hermilia Wijayati, M.Pd., and representatives of professors from FKIP ULM, Prof. Dr. H. Jumadi, M.Pd. Then, proceed to the souvenir handover event from the two study programs concerned and continued with a group photo session.
The UM student group, chaired by Adhistya Dharma Kusuma, together with several friends, namely Aprilia Dwi Ariani, Firasya Salsabila Ramadhani, Melati Arum Pambudini, Roselle Edenia Amru, and Ulya Cahya Ramadani aided in collection management at Taman Baca Merdekata. This activity was carried out as a form of implementation of the Information Cooperation and Networking course.
In a discussion that lasted for approximately 120 minutes on Tuesday (14/6), the delegates from the English Education Study Program, FKIP, ULM, consisting of a study program coordinator and several educators, seemed very enthusiastic in exchanging information, asking questions, and conveying the objectives of the collaboration. This indeed received a positive response from UM. One of the representatives of educators from the English Language Education Study Program, FS, UM, Dr. Suharyadi, S.Pd., M.Pd., stated that their study program was open to all offers of constructive cooperation. “We are delighted to get an interdepartmental cooperation visit from FKIP Lambung Mangkurat University. Our study program is very open to offers of mutually beneficial cooperation.” He spoke.
Discussions related to the implementation of cooperation between the two study programs went smoothly without any obstacles. The results were also for the arrival of the S-1 English Education Study Program, FKIP, ULM. “I hope that the agreed form of cooperation can run optimally. We can open a teaching staff exchange program next semester, a student exchange program next semester, and other quality programs.” Said the S-1 English Education Study Program Coordinator, FKIP, ULM, Dr. Hj Noor Eka Chandra, M.Pd. Mrs. Chandra also stated that the study program she holds will try to fix the curriculum that is still ineffective and needs improvement so that the study program can be more advanced and develop optimally in the future.
The discussion session ended with gratitude from both delegates of each study program. We hope that the working visit by the S-1 English Education Study Program, FKIP, ULM to the S-1 English Education Study Program, FS, UM, is the beginning of good communication and cooperation and can pave the way for the sustainability of a quality program.
