Reviving Cultural Heritage: A Collaborative Initiative with University Kebangsaan Malaysia to Document Wayang Panji Nusantara
Universitas Negeri Malang is proud to announce a groundbreaking research initiative that aims to create a documentary model for making a film about Wayang Panji Nusantara, a rich cultural heritage in Indonesia. This research team is led by Dr. Rudi Irawanto, S.Pd, M.Sn, with three researchers namely Dr. Hary Suswanto, S.T, M.T., Ni’matul Istiqomah, S,Pd, M.Pd, and Dr. Tri Wahyuningyas, S.Pd, M.Si, two students from our university namely Mohammad Dio Alianzyah and Ferina Irawati. This project, conducted in collaboration with Junaini Kasdan, a distinguished foreign researcher from University Kebangsaan Malaysia, promises to preserve and promote the beauty and significance of Wayang Panji Nusantara.
Wayang Panji Nusantara is a traditional Indonesian art form that combines storytelling, music, and puppetry. By leveraging modern filmmaking techniques, this research seeks to create a documentary model that captures the essence of Wayang Panji Nusantara, ensuring that this cultural treasure is preserved for future generations.
