This research aims to analyze the appeal of the 2018 Spider-Man game trailer from the perspectives of visuals, gameplay, and narrative to determine which aspects most influence console gamers’ interest. The focus is to provide developers with insights into how trailer elements can be optimized to attract more players, supporting Innovation, Infrastructure, and Industry Development, especially within the digital game industry context.

Console Gamers’ Attraction to the 2018 Spider-Man Game Trailer The console game industry is rapidly evolving, where trailers play a crucial role in introducing and promoting games. The 2018 Spider-Man trailer has captured significant attention from console players with its stunning visuals and engaging gameplay. This research uses a quantitative approach, surveying 100 console gamers to assess the trailer’s appeal. The data was analyzed using validity, reliability, regression, and hypothesis testing to understand the impact of visuals, gameplay, and narrative on player interest.

Results show that visuals and gameplay have a significant effect on player interest, while narrative has a lesser influence. These findings confirm that trailers with strong visuals and gameplay elements can increase players’ desire to purchase the game. The success of the 2018 Spider-Man trailer highlights the importance of visual and gameplay planning in game promotion, offering developers valuable insights for creating innovative, engaging trailers that enhance the competitive strength of the digital game industry in a sustainable way.
