SDG 4
Creating cinematic visuals that enhance the meaning and message of the film Kalut through camera techniques that support the portrayal of an introverted character allows the film’s message to resonate with the audience more clearly and deeply. The short film Kalut is a collaborative work by Visual Communication Design students at Universitas Negeri Malang, focusing on the depiction of an introverted character and their social life. In this work, the camera techniques, or cinematography, are crafted to convey the nuances of an introvert’s life in a powerful and artistic way, enabling the audience to experience an emotionally rich journey. Detailed visuals are essential in supporting the story, ensuring that the intended meaning reaches the viewers more effectively.
The main focus on cinematographic design also aligns with the goal of Quality Education. By paying attention to both technical and artistic aspects in short films like Kalut, this work is expected to become an educational medium that broadens the public’s understanding of diverse personality spectrums. Additionally, the film design process involves students as active creators, encouraging them to develop skills, creativity, and social awareness. This collaboration contributes to creating a more inclusive learning environment and fosters innovation, in line with promoting quality education and lifelong learning opportunities.
