The 2024 Indonesian Traditional Music Conservation and Innovation Workshop (Lokovasia) is an important activity organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) together with the Musike SJ Foundation. This event lasts for one week, starting from 1 to 7 September 2024, taking place in Building D14, Visual Audio Hall, State University of Malang.
In this activity, students of Fine Arts Education, State University of Malang actively participated by providing video testimonials to the head of the Lokovasia committee, which aims to document their experiences and views on the event. The peak of Lokovasia will be held on the night of 6 to 7 September 2024 on UBTV, which is related to responsible production and consumption.
The main objective of Lokovasia is to raise awareness of the importance of preserving Indonesian traditional music and to encourage innovation in sustainable music practices. In addition, this event aims to build networks between participants from various regions in Indonesia, increase appreciation for cultural richness, and inspire the younger generation to love and understand traditional music. Through student involvement, it is hoped that Lokovasia can provide a sustainable positive impact on the world of Indonesian arts and culture.
