The Indonesian Traditional Music Conservation and Innovation Workshop (Lokovasia) 2024 is an activity organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) in collaboration with the Musike SJ Foundation. This event will take place from 3 to 7 September 2024 at Building D16, Visual Audio Hall, State University of Malang. Workshop participants come from various regions in Indonesia, such as East Java, West Java, Central Java, NTT, Bali, and other areas.

This activity focuses on the goal of encouraging a peaceful and inclusive society and strengthening effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels. Indonesian traditional music, with its rich diversity, plays an important role as a tool for building intercultural dialogue and maintaining social harmony. Through this workshop, it is hoped that participants can understand how traditional music can contribute to peace and social inclusion in Indonesia. Students of Fine Arts Education, State University of Malang are encouraged to attend and appreciate this activity. 

In addition to being able to increase insight into the field of traditional music, their presence is also important to enliven the event. One of the students from Universitas Negeri Malang asked an interesting question to the speaker during the question and answer session, which showed active participation and a high level of curiosity about the material presented. Lokovasia 2024 is expected to strengthen the role of traditional music as a medium to promote peace, diversity, and social inclusion, as well as strengthen awareness of the importance of intercultural cooperation throughout Indonesia.
