On September 7, 2024, TIMPANG TIGO, a traditional music group from Bengkulu, managed to amaze the audience at the Lokovasia event held live in the UBTV room. This event was attended by Visual Communication Design (DKV) students from the State University of Malang (UM) and featured various talents from all over the archipelago. Timpang Tigo presented a culturally rich performance, combining traditional Bengkulu musical instruments with harmonious vocals. Their performance was not only entertaining, but also provided deep insight into the richness of their regional culture through uplifting songs.

Each song performed tells a local story and tradition, inviting the audience to get to know Bengkulu culture better. With colorful costumes and energetic movements, Timpang Tigo managed to create a warm and intimate atmosphere, attracting the attention of the students present. Visual Communication Design students, State University of Malang showed high enthusiasm, many of whom were inspired by the dedication and passion of this group. The interaction between Timpang Tigo members and the audience created an unforgettable moment, where everyone felt involved in a lively cultural celebration.

The Lokovasia event serves as an important platform to support and promote local arts, and Timpsng Tigo’s performance is a real example of how music can connect different cultures in Indonesia. With the success of this performance, it is hoped that Timpang Tigo can continue to work and introduce the uniqueness of Bengkulu culture to a wider stage. This event is a significant step in preserving and celebrating traditional Indonesian arts.
