In his presentation, Prof. Ginting explored the dual nature of artificial intelligence (AI) as it relates to English language education. On the one hand, AI holds immense potential to revolutionize the way English is taught and learned, offering innovative tools for personalized instruction, real-time feedback, and enhanced accessibility. On the other hand, the increasing reliance on AI raises important questions about its limitations, particularly in terms of maintaining the human element in language learning, addressing ethical concerns, and ensuring that technological advances do not widen educational inequalities.

Prof. Dr. Ginting’s expertise and insights on this subject are particularly relevant in today’s rapidly evolving educational landscape. As an experienced academic with a focus on integrating technology into the classroom, he is well-positioned to offer valuable perspectives on how AI can be harnessed to improve English language teaching while also addressing the potential challenges that come with it. His balanced view on the promises and pitfalls of AI will provide the audience with a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities and risks posed by AI-driven education.

Prof. Ginting has long been recognized for his contributions to the field of English education, particularly in the context of technology-enhanced learning. As an English professor at MaChung University, he has conducted extensive research on the intersection of language teaching and technological innovation. His keynote at Conference De Universe 2024 provided attendees with not only theoretical insights but also practical strategies for navigating the challenges of AI integration in educational settings.

Conference De Universe 2024 was held two days, from 12-13 October 2024, and featured a range of presentations designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange among educators and students. The event offered participants a unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge ideas in language education, literary studies, and related fields.

With AI increasingly becoming a central theme in education discussions worldwide, Prof. Ginting’s keynote is expected to be one of the most thought-provoking and insightful sessions of the conference. His talk not only highlights the transformative potential of AI but also encourages attendees to reflect on the ethical and pedagogical responsibilities that come with its implementation in English language teaching.

The event becomed an exciting and intellectually stimulating experience for all participants, with Prof. Ginting’s keynote setting the tone for broader discussions on how educators can best navigate the changing educational landscape while staying true to the core values of teaching and learning.
