Libraries grow and develop along with the development of national culture, while the development of national culture cannot be separated from the role of libraries. The reason why the nation’s culture including ancient texts must be preserved is because it is a very valuable ancestral heritage for the Indonesian people. This is where the library plays an important role in preserving Indonesian culture. Therefore, the Student Association of Indonesian Literature Department, State University of Malang held an activity entitled the Library Science Scientific Forum (Rumilus). Rumilus is a series of activities in the 2021 Language and Literature Month. Rumilus activities will be held online from 16-17 October 2022, both competitions and seminars. Rumilus this time raised the theme “Library Revitalization in Support of Cultural Preservation”. The Rumilus activity aims to provide a forum for creativity for students and also the general public who are interested in the world of libraries through a Poster Competition and Scientific Article Competition, providing a forum for increasing intellectual power for students in a National Seminar with the theme of Revitalizing Libraries in Supporting Cultural Preservation, increasing the productivity of participants in activities at during the covid-19 pandemic by working while adding insight into the world of libraries, providing an understanding of libraries in preserving culture, and training students in expressing ideas in written and oral form regarding the themes raised.
Rumilus has several activities including Poster Competition and Scientific Article Competition, as well as National Library Seminar. The Rumilus activity can be a place for participants to train themselves in competing at the national level through the Creative Poster Competition and Scientific Articles. Of course, creativity, innovation, and the information contained are a challenge for the participants of the competition. Then, a development of science was also given in a seminar on how libraries can support cultural preservation.

The Poster Contest held at Rumilus is a place to channel the creativity and imagination of participants, both students and the general public who are interested in the world of libraries. Not only that, the Poster Contest is also a forum for participants to increase productivity during the COVID-19 pandemic by continuing to work.
