The Universitas Negeri Malang-Edu Top Workshop (Learning Mentoring) Batch 4 which was held on September 17, 2024 at Building A20, 9th Floor, Universitas Negeri Malang, involved students from the Dance and Music Education, Visual Communication Design, and Fine Arts Education study programs. This activity aims to raise awareness of the importance of peace, justice, and effective institutions, which focus on creating an inclusive, safe, and just society.
The main objective of this workshop is to provide students with an understanding of global challenges related to conflict, injustice, and corruption, and how art and design can contribute to creating positive social change. Through a creative approach, participants are expected to be able to develop art projects that raise these issues and encourage dialogue and constructive problem solving.
In an interactive mentoring session, students from various disciplines will collaborate to create works that can raise public awareness of the importance of justice and peace. Through dance, music, visual design, and fine art, they will seek to influence public attitudes toward pressing social issues. At the end of the workshop, participants are expected to have a better understanding and skills to integrate the values of justice and peace in their art and design, so that they can become agents of change in the effort to build a more just and peaceful society.
