The State University of Malang-Edu Top Workshop (Learning Mentoring) Batch 4 which was held on September 17, 2024 at Building A20, 9th Floor, State University of Malang, involved students from the Dance and Music Education, Visual Communication Design, and Fine Arts Education study programs. This activity aims to raise awareness of the importance of preserving terrestrial ecosystems, which focus on the protection, restoration, and sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems and sustainable forest management.
The main objective of this workshop is to provide students with insight into the challenges faced by the terrestrial environment, such as deforestation, declining biodiversity, and land degradation. Through a creative approach, participants are expected to be able to develop art and design projects that address these issues and encourage real action to protect terrestrial ecosystems. In interactive mentoring sessions, students from various disciplines will collaborate to create works that can raise public awareness of the importance of environmental conservation.
Through dance, music, visual design, and fine art, they will try to influence people’s attitudes and behaviors towards nature conservation. At the end of the workshop, participants are expected to have a better understanding of integrating environmental issues into their artwork and designs, so that they can become agents of change in the preservation of terrestrial ecosystems and environmental sustainability.
