The Um-Edu Top (Learning Mentorship) Workshop Batch 4, held on September 17, 2024, at Universitas Negeri Malang, focused on exploring the role of art and design in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals centered on ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all. The event, involving students from the Department of Art and Design, sought to foster innovative approaches that contribute to the promotion of clean energy solutions through creative and educational initiatives.
The main objective of the workshop was to raise awareness among students about global energy challenges and how their creative fields can contribute to addressing them. Participants will be guided to develop art and design projects that promote clean energy practices, educate the public about the importance of energy efficiency, and inspire action towards the adoption of renewable energy sources. Through mentorship sessions, students will learn how their skills in art and design can encourage public engagement and influence behavior towards sustainable energy use.
This workshop encourages interdisciplinary collaboration, aiming to generate creative ideas that highlight the importance of clean energy in reducing environmental impact and improving quality of life. By the end of the workshop, students will have a deeper understanding of practical strategies for incorporating sustainability into their professional practice. This event seeks to empower future creative leaders to play an active role in advocating for affordable and clean energy solutions in their communities.
