KHAIMAH ARABY
Department of Arabic Literature, State University of Malang
One of the activities routinely held by the Arabic Literature Department Student Association (HMJ) is the Khaimah Araby activity. What is Khaimah Araby?
Khaimah Araby is a training activity for Organizational Leadership and Management Training (LKMO) which is routinely carried out by HMJ every year. Khaimah Araby can also be interpreted as Arabic Language Camp in the context of leadership training, organizational management, and inauguration of the board of HMJ Arabic Literature. This training is mandatory for any new HMJ member. Khaimah Araby activities are held once a year after the acceptance of new members of HMJ. This activity was attended by all new members of HMJ, while the Khaimah Araby activity committee itself came from old members of HMJ. In addition, several representatives from ORMAWA FS residents and advisors from HMJ also participated in Khaimah Araby’s activities.
In general, the activities carried out in Khaimah Araby include basic leadership training for all HMJ members, trial for determining AD/ART, simulation of major major events and refreshing activities such as outbound. Khaimah Araby’s activity was carried out by staying at a place outside the UM campus environment.

By holding this Khaimah Araby activity, the committee and all training participants are expected to establish good relationships and get to know each other among HMJ members. In addition, Khaimah Araby’s activities also aim to introduce a work program for one year of service. With the implementation of this activity, students can cultivate an independent spirit, form a professional leader spirit, and be responsible in organizing.
