SEMNASBAMA : NATIONAL SEMINAR ON STUDENT ARABIC ALSA FS UM 2021

Malang. Arabic Literature Student Association (ALSA) Faculty of Letters (FL) State University of Malang (UM) successfully held the 5th Arabic National Seminar (Semnasbama) online via the Zoom platform on Saturday (17/07). even so, the enthusiasm of the participants was very high, because this event was attended by more than 600 participants from 32 countries. Those countries are; Indonesia, Syria, Egypt, Sudan, America, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Nigeria, Jordan, Morocco, India, Algeria, Lebanon, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Senegal, Yemen, Libya, Iran, Mauritius, Saudi, Myanmar, Palestine, Algeria, Chad, Ethiopia, Malaysia, Australia, Spain, Turkey, Cameroon and Somalia.

 The presenters in this event are Dr. Kholisin, M. Hum from Malang State University, Indonesia, Dr. Abu Saleh Anis Luqman from UAE and Dr. Musthafa Farouq Abdul Alim Mahmud from Al Azhar University, Egypt. The Semnasbama V series of events is a scientific writing competition and video presentation for students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels from abroad and within the country. The implementation starts from April 10, 2021 with the registration of participants, abstract collection to the appearance of the finalists of the competition which has been held on July 15, 2021. Semnasbama is an annual agenda held by JSA UM with the aim of increasing the productivity of JSA UM students in writing scientific papers and being able to seminars at the international level as a means to train maharah kalam in Arabic. Semnasbama V this time raised the theme “The Role of Arabic Language Students in Facing the Digital Era”.

 This event was opened directly by the Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Letters, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hanafi, S.Ag., M.Fil.I who said that he was very impressed with this event because the enthusiasm of the participants was more than the initial prediction of the committee. “Before opening this event officially, allow me to say Ahlan wa sahlan bihudlurikum bi jami`ah poor al Hukumiyah. We are very honored to have you all at this event. Hopefully this event will run smoothly until the end,” he said.

In addition, the Head of the Department of Arabic Literature, Dr. Hanik Mahliatussikah, S.Ag., M. Hum., in his speech said that students as millennials and the nation’s next generation must continue to improve their abilities, skills and knowledge. Through Semnasbama V, he hopes that students can get it. “All of you are the millennial generation who will be the successors to this nation who will hold the world if they have a lot of knowledge, therefore you must be serious. We thank all the presenters who were present at the Semnasbama V event this afternoon. Hopefully what we are doing this afternoon will be a good deed and add to our knowledge, “he concluded.
