LEGATO Motivation and Development Session: Sharpening Leadership and Creating Positive Change in Society

On September 13-14, 2024, the English Department Student Association of State University of Malang will organize “LEGATO Motivation and Development Session”, an event that aims to motivate and develop students’ skills in academic and social contexts. This activity is designed to engage participants in various training sessions, seminars, and workshops that focus on developing leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

The event is geared towards supporting the 16th Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) goal of “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions”. SDG 16 emphasizes the importance of building peaceful, just and inclusive societies by strengthening transparent and accountable institutions. Through the “LEGATO Motivation and Development Session.” participants will be invited to understand and develop skills that support the principles of justice and peace, and how to contribute to creating a harmonious and inclusive environment.

During the two-day event, participants will receive training on effective leadership, good communication techniques, and how to resolve conflicts constructively. This activity aims to prepare students to face challenges in society and the professional world in a way that emphasizes the principles of social justice and integrity.

With active participation in the “LEGATO Motivation and Development Session”, students are expected to become agents of change who promote peace and justice in their communities and support the building of strong and transparent institutions.
