Student Upgrading: Enhancing Insight and Technological Awareness

SDG 17

On May 25, the English Department Student Association of State University of Malang held an *Upgrading* activity which aims to increase awareness and insight related to technological developments among students. This event was attended by all Malang State University students, with the hope of equipping participants with more in-depth knowledge about the importance of technology in everyday life and how technology can be used wisely and effectively.

This activity is also aligned with the 17th Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) goal, namely “Partnerships to Achieve Goals”. Through this activity, it is hoped that collaboration between students, the academic community, and technology experts will be created to build a shared awareness of the importance of technological progress in advancing society. SDGs 17 emphasizes the importance of global cooperation in facing common challenges, including in the field of technology. This Upgrading is expected to be a forum to strengthen this collaboration at the local level, especially in the academic community at State University of Malang.

With this activity, students are not only invited to understand technology in terms of theory, but also how they can contribute significantly in applying technology to achieve sustainable development goals.
