Bakti Literasi is an event organized by the Indonesian Literature Department Student Association (HMD), State University of Malang, on August 2-3, 2024. This activity aims to raise awareness of marine ecosystems through literary media. The event was attended by participants from SMPK YBPK Sitiarjo, who will be invited to explore and convey messages about ocean health through their creativity.
Over two days, participants will engage in a series of activities, including workshops on poetry writing and understanding marine environmental issues. On the first day, they will receive literary and environmental expert training on writing techniques and human impacts on aquatic ecosystems. These discussions will help participants understand how poetry can be used to voice ecological concerns. Participants will also apply their knowledge to create works depicting the beauty and challenges marine ecosystems face.
The event will conclude with a poetry reading and discussion session, during which participants can share their work and receive feedback from their mentors and peers.
Through this activity, HMD Sastra Indonesia aims to educate and inspire the younger generation on the importance of ocean conservation while utilizing the power of literature to deliver significant environmental messages.
