The ICADECS 2024 Workshop at the Department of Art and Design, Faculty of Letters, State University of Malang, presents active, creative, and innovative material presentation sessions as an integral part of the event series. The main focus of the session was to develop participants’ ability to create designs that are not only attractive but also support SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.

In this session, participants were introduced to the latest techniques and methods in design that aim to encourage creativity and innovation. Experienced presenters shared insights on how new approaches in design can be applied to improve and develop infrastructure and industries as a whole. The material presented was designed to provide inspiration and practical tools that participants can use in their design projects.

In addition, the session emphasized the importance of integrating sustainable principles in the design process. Participants were invited to explore innovative ways of designing solutions that not only meet industry needs but also consider environmental and social impacts. With an emphasis on sustainability, participants are expected to produce designs that are efficient, environmentally friendly, and contribute to the development of better infrastructure.

The workshop aims to create a dynamic and inspiring learning environment, where participants can learn from the experiences of practitioners and presenters and apply new knowledge in their practice. By combining creativity, innovation, and sustainable principles, Universitas Negeri Malang is committed to supporting the achievement of SDG 9 and advancing sustainable design in the context of industry and infrastructure.
