Yurina Gusanti S.Sn, M.Sn, an experienced artist and educator, was present as a resource person in community service activities with the theme of cinema project training to improve critical thinking and collaboration for elementary school students. This event was held on Saturday, July 20 2024 at SDN 2 Sumberejo, Malang Regency.The enthusiasm of the teachers and students of SDN 2 Sumberejo in welcoming Yurina Gusanti S.Sn, M.Sn, was clearly visible. The Principal of SDN 2 Sumberejo expressed his gratitude for the willingness of Yurina Gusanti S.Sn, M.Sn, to share her knowledge and experience with the students.

Yurina Gusanti S.Sn, M.Sn, opened the session by explaining the importance of critical thinking and collaboration for elementary school students. He then explained how cinema projects can be an effective learning medium for developing these abilities. The teachers enthusiastically participated in this training. They are taught the steps in making a short film, starting from developing story ideas, writing the scenario, to the shooting and editing process. Yurina Gusanti S.Sn, M.Sn, also provides tips and tricks for producing interesting and educational films.

At the end of the training, the students presented their work in front of their friends and teachers. Their performance shows their ability to think critically and collaborate in completing this cinema project.

This activity is expected to provide benefits for SDN 2 Sumberejo students in improving their critical thinking and collaboration skills. Apart from that, this activity can also be an inspiration for other schools to organize similar activities.
