To improve learning activities, teachers must be ready with the necessary tools, including learning media that are relevant and easily understood by students following the targets to be achieved. The course “creating Indonesian dishes” is offered in the independent learning program that students can program outside the culinary arts program other than regular students, so suitable media and learning strategies are needed, namely through digital video technology with the type of Vidio motion character. Graphic, in this case, the UM lecturers, namely Dr. Rina Rifqie Mariana, Yon Ade Lose H., S.Sn, M.Sn, and Andreas Syah Pahlevi, S.Sn, M.Sn. conducting research in 2021 to produce learning media products that use video motion graphics technology.

This research is a type of development research to produce learning media products that use digital technology in the form of interactive videos, namely motion graphics videos. Video Motion graphics combines several elements and combine illustrations, typography, photography, and videography using animation techniques. So that it is interesting to watch and makes it easier for students to understand learning materials more quickly, while the procedures for preparing textbooks are as follows: Study of RPS and lecture materials, preparation of scripts and search for relevant images, module layout design, module writing, validation, revision, and implementation, in this book, it also discusses the dishes that exist in weddings and also traditional activities on the island of Java.
