The English Department Student Association of the State University of Malang proudly held an Upgrading activity themed “Navigating Ethical Challenges in the Digital Age for Students” on May 26. This activity aims to help students understand the ethics of technology in the digital era and develop responsibility for the use of technology. The activity is organized as a seminar that discusses various aspects of digital ethics, including privacy, cybersecurity, copyright, and responsible use of social media. Participants will gain insights into how to deal with the ethical challenges that arise with technology development and the importance of maintaining integrity and responsibility in the digital environment. Focusing on Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) 16, “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions,” this Upgrading activity seeks to equip students with an in-depth understanding of how technology can promote peace and justice. Through improved digital ethics literacy, students are expected to actively participate in creating a safe, just, and inclusive digital environment, as well as reducing the risk of misuse of technology. The main objective of this activity is to build critical awareness among students regarding the ethical impact of their actions in the digital world, as well as strengthen their commitment to the responsible use of technology. Thus, this activity improves students’ technical understanding and shapes their character as wise and ethical technology users.
