The fabric dyeing technique, which includes stitching, twisting, tying, pinning, and wrapping, is a technique better known as shibori. The basic process needed in making shibori is drawing on the cloth and tying the knot on the material tightly using thread, rubber, or other rope. Then the fabric is dipped in one or more colors. A team of lecturers consisting of a Visual Communication Design Lecturer, Mr. Heppy Jundan Hendrawan, S.Sn, M.Ds, along with students from the Department of Art and Design, came up with an idea to innovate a mixture of Shibori Batik with Augmented Reality (AR) based technology, which is very easy to make.
