One of the goals of this event is to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. In this context, the promotion of local culture through dance plays a crucial role. Traditional dance reflects the values, history and uniqueness of various regions in Indonesia.

By holding this event, it will not only entertain but also educate the public about the importance of maintaining and preserving cultural heritage. Apart from that, this event creates a space for students of the Dance and Music Education Study Program to gather, interact and enjoy art together. All residents of Malang State University are invited to witness and participate in this celebration, creating an inclusive environment and embracing cultural diversity.

Preserving local culture through activities like this also contributes to the city’s identity. As an educational institution, Malang State University has the responsibility to lead efforts to preserve culture and promote cultural diversity to the younger generation. Thus, this event not only strengthens local cultural identity but also supports the achievement of SDG 11 by promoting sustainable and inclusive communities.
