Exploring Pure Expression and Creativity in Pantomime Art. In the midst of sparkling artistic and cultural activities, the Sasana Krida Building, State University of Malang witnessed the presence of a stunning pantomime workshop. This event not only presents the basic techniques of wordless art, but also invites participants to explore pure expression and creativity in telling stories through body movement.
Understanding the Language of Movement and Expression The workshop begins with an in-depth introduction to the essence of the art of pantomime. Participants are invited to understand that pantomime is not just dance or movement, but a language that allows the expression of complex emotions and narratives without words. The primary focus is the development of strong and effective non-verbal communication skills. Understanding body and facial control After conceptual understanding, the workshop continues with intensive technical training. Participants learn to control every aspect of body movement and facial expressions to express various emotions and situations. Experienced instructors provide detailed guidance on how to regulate the tempo, rhythm and clarity of each movement, so that participants can produce engaging and meaningful performances. Collaboration and improvisation build a visual narrative together. One of the peak moments in the workshop was collaboration and improvisation. Participants are not only invited to develop their individual skills, but also to work together to create a coherent and impressive visual narrative. This process not only enriches the learning experience, but also fosters a sense of togetherness and cooperation among participants.
Inspiring Final Performance The pantomime workshop at the Sasana Krida Building, State University of Malang not only produced new skills for the participants, but also a stunning final performance. Hopefully events like this will continue to be held to celebrate the richness of art and culture and foster creativity among students and the wider community.
