In anticipation of a dynamic learning experience, the Department of English Literature at Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) is thrilled to welcome Dr. Eline Visser from the University of Oslo for a special guest lecture. This event underscores UM’s commitment to providing top-tier education and fostering international collaboration.

Dr. Eline Visser, an expert in linguistic fieldwork, will deliver a lecture titled “Linguistic Fieldwork in Indonesia: Getting Started with Linguistic Fieldwork in a Previously Undescribed Language.” The lecture is scheduled for Monday, February 26, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Aula Perpustakaan, located on the 2nd floor of the C3 building.

This guest lecture aims to equip students and faculty with the knowledge and tools necessary to embark on linguistic fieldwork, particularly in documenting and analyzing previously undescribed languages.
