Introducing the Arabic Language Study Program for Al-Islam Joresan Ponorogo Students to Understand Arab Culture and Science
Malang, January 4 2024 – The FS UM Arabic Literature Department is proud to introduce the Arabic Language Study Program to students. This step was taken to provide new opportunities for students to understand Arabic language and culture more deeply. This activity took place in the UM Faculty of Letters Hall. The number of students attending was 100 people with 10 teachers
Study Program Objectives
This study program aims to develop students’ abilities in reading, writing, listening and speaking in Arabic. In addition, this program will also provide an in-depth understanding of Arabic culture, history and literature.
Comprehensive Curriculum
The curriculum includes courses such as Arabic grammar, Arabic literature, Arabic history, and practical communication skills in everyday Arabic. In this way, it is hoped that students will not only acquire language skills, but also a solid understanding of the Arab cultural context.

Arabic has a central role in Islam as the language of the Koran. Understanding this language provides an invaluable advantage in understanding Islamic teachings in depth.

Additionally, the program provides valuable opportunities for practical experience, such as internships and student exchange programs in Arabic-speaking countries. This will help improve language skills and broaden students’ cultural horizons.
Superior Facilities and Infrastructure
The UM PBA Study Program has also provided facilities and infrastructure that support Arabic language learning, including a library with a collection of Arabic literature, a language laboratory and adequate study facilities.
By introducing this Arabic Language Study Program to students, Al-Islam Joresan Ponorogo is committed to providing quality education and responding to global needs, so that students can compete at the international level.
