Cultural Exchange: Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Malaysia Delegation Visits Faculty of Languages at Universitas Negeri Malang

Malang, Indonesia – On Monday, March 6, 2023, the Faculty of Languages (FS) at Universitas Negeri Malang welcomed a delegation of lecturers and students from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Malaysia. Led by Dr. Tengku Intan Suzila Tengku Sharif, the delegation was received in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Languages, D16.204. Vice Dean I, Evynurul Laily Zen, S.S., M.A., Ph.D, along with members of the FS international cooperation team, extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation.

The visit by the UiTM delegation to the Faculty of Languages is part of a collaborative effort, manifesting in the form of inbound students and co-teachers exchange programs. Dr. Tengku Intan Suzila mentioned in her address that the six UiTM students participating in the inbound students program represent various study programs at UiTM, all currently pursuing English language programs.

Dr. Tengku Intan Suzila expressed her hope that both UiTM and FS students can engage in mutual learning and derive valuable experiences from this collaboration. This sentiment was echoed by Vice Dean I of FS, who expressed optimism about students gaining knowledge and experiences through activities that bring together the cultures of both countries. She also emphasized the expectations for a productive and ongoing partnership between UiTM and the Faculty of Languages at Universitas Negeri Malang.

This cultural exchange program signifies a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to foster international collaboration and provide students with opportunities to immerse themselves in diverse cultures. The visit by the UiTM delegation includes several key components:

  1. Inbound Students Program: Six UiTM students are participating in the inbound students program, which allows them to experience academic and cultural life at Universitas Negeri Malang. They will be attending classes, engaging in cultural activities, and interacting with FS students.
