July 20, 2021, the UM 2021 Thematic KKN consisting of 8 students, namely Windy Aristin, Karina Salsabilla, Ayu Jasmine, Zalfa Salsabila, Andhara Agustin, Fradella Aravista, Novira Aulianda and Ilham Abdul Jabar carried out one of the main work programs of our KKN in Jaticempaka Village, Pondok Gede, Bekasi, West Java. The eight of us are students from the German literature department, therefore, to carry out the Thematic KKN work program, the main program must be the implementation of the German Literature department, that is, we created a work program called Deutsch fr Alle”.

Deutsch fr Alle” which means German language for all, is one of the main work programs of the UM Jaticempaka Thematic KKN. Their activities include basic German language training to introduce them to the prestige and village officials in Jaticempaka about the German language. In addition to being attended by reputation and village officials, this activity was also attended by KKN students from UNDIP (Diponegoro University) and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The implementation of Deutsch fr Alle” starts at 10 am and until 1 pm which takes place in the hall of Jati cempaka Village.

We give German language material from the basics or at the A1 level. The material is sourced from the Netzwerk book (Goethe’s standard German Book). The learning media used to support the learning process are LCD Projectors, Audio, and Video. The learning step that we provide is to use a stimulus in the form of audio after which the teacher explains the material. Because our audience is an adult, the learning method uses direct sentences such as making dialogues and practicing them.

Learning begins with introducing the Alphabet and its pronunciation in German. After that, it was followed by basic materials such as Zahlen (numbers), Begrung (greetings in German), sich Vorstelllen (introducing themselves or introducing), dialogue with the theme of Hobby (hobby), and Jahreszeiten (seasons) knowing about the four seasons in Germany as well as how to dialogue in the form of formal and informal in certain themes.

Thank you for being given a place, guided, well taught to complete all our programs in Jaticempaka Village. We intend to provide a little bit of the knowledge we have learned on campus. The German training activities took place smoothly and conducive. The participants were very enthusiastic about participating in our German language training.

In addition, the implementation of Deutsch fur Alle” is also the last program of our Thematic KKN in Jaticempaka Village. Once again, we thank the district for helping to carry out all our work programs.
