Lecturer at the Department of Arabic Literature, Faculty of Letters, State University of Malang cares about the handling of Covid-19. The team consists of Dr. Faris Khoirul Anam, Lc., M.H.I., Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hanafi, M.Fil.I and Dr. Abdul Adzim Irsyad, M.Pd held a Santri Husada training.
In the last three months, dozens of clerics have died, and many of them have become caregivers of Islamic Boarding Schools due to exposure to the COVID-19 virus. On the other hand, there are many more Islamic boarding schools that are also struggling with the COVID-19 pandemic in hospitals. The transmission of this virus cannot be known from the origin of its spread. Pondok Pesantren is one of the new clusters in the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Indonesia. If this matter is not taken seriously immediately, the transmission will quickly spread to all pesantren residents. In this case, the government has intensively carried out socialization of handling COVID-19 in the education area. This concrete step is an effort to control the spread of the virus among Islamic boarding schools. However, this is not balanced with adequate mentoring and training for students. Many Islamic boarding schools are still experiencing confusion related to preventive and curative measures to deal with COVID-19. This condition causes unrest for the community service team, where we will do real work to form and conduct training and assistance for the COVID-19 response task force at the Islamic boarding school with the term Santri Husada.
The target partner of this service is Darul Faqih Islamic Boarding School which is located in Pandanlandung village, Wagir district, Malang regency. It is located 5 km from the central campus of the State University of Malang, so it is included in the takeover range with the campus environmental community partnership program scheme. Its distance, which is not too far from the central campus, has the potential to become a partner in the development of science and technology for the U.M. academic community. Service is carried out in 3 phases, namely the first phase, conducting education, socialization, and understanding of the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the Islamic boarding school environment; the second phase, conducting the establishment and training of Santri Husada as a special task force trained in the field of health. And the third phase provides assistance for students to carry out health monitoring and implement health protocols properly. The advantage of the proposing team is that they have conducted research with a concentration in Islamic Studies and collaborated with alumni and doctors, and nurses of the State University of Malang Polyclinic. The outputs to be achieved in this service are one scientific publication article in a national journal, one national mass media publication, one book with an ISBN, as well as documentation of activities in the form of photos and videos that will be published and documented in the final report. T.K.T. service is at level 7, namely the application of the use, development, and application of technology in the community.
