The Department of Arabic Literature (JSA) of the Faculty of Letters (FS) State University of Malang (UM) held an Arabic language learning training for alums. This training is a continuation of the training carried out before, namely about listening skills (istima’). The focus of training at this stage is learning for kalam and qira’ah proficiency. The activity theme was “Online-Based Arabic Learning Training (Maharah Kalam & Qira’ah).”

These activities are carried out in two forms, namely synchronous and asynchronous. Synchronous training, namely using zoom meetings, will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, from 12.30-16.00 WIB. Meanwhile, the implementation of asinkrounus activities uses google classroom as a continuation of synchronous activities and is carried out on Sunday-Thursday 23-28 October 2021.

There were four presenters who provided training in the activity, namely: (1) Dr. Abdul Adzim, M.Pd, (2) Prof. Dr. Imam Asrori, M.Pd, (3) Dr. Ibnu Samsul Huda, M.A. and (4) Prof. Dr. Moh. The series of activities in training are as follows. The activity began with the screening of um profiles in Arabic, the playback of Ahlan wa sahlan songs, and JSA promotions, followed by the opening ceremony by singing the song Indonesia Raya and remarks. The Head delivered the remarks of the Um Arabic Literature Department, Dr. Hanik Mahliatussikah, M.Hum. In his remarks, he said this activity was an advanced stage of the earlier Kitabah learning training. The formula of this Sales activity is different from training activities in general. This activity is held on an ongoing basis as a form of service to alums. This activity is called PPKB (Sustainable Professional development program). In asynchronous activities, each participant worked on deepening tasks and also provided a digital library that training participants could use, not only during this activity but was expected to become a common home, which could be developed and filled with various materials related to Arabic learning, both by JSA lecturers and alumni, the majority of whom were Arabic teachers. The work on the tasks by the trainees is a mandatory requirement for participants to obtain a certificate equivalent to 32 Class Hours (JP). Apart from being a silaturahim event between JSA UM and alumni, this activity is also expected to improve the ability of alumni in the field of Arabic.
