The millennial generation has a significant role in economic growth and development in the current era. The life of the millennial generation, who are familiar with technology, can be used as their foothold to participate in advancing economic growth and development in Indonesia. To support economic growth and development, the millennial generation must be able to create various innovations, one of which is through entrepreneurship activities. The provision of knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit for the millennial generation must be instilled to give birth to young entrepreneurs, especially during this pandemic. In line with this, the Indonesian Literature Department Student Association held an Entrepreneurial Millenial Webinar with the theme “Growing Entrepreneurial Spirit for Millennial Generation in a Pandemic Period.” The activity was held on September 25, 2021, through the Zoom Meeting platform. The webinar is a new work program of the Indonesian Literature Department Student Association which was carried out to instill knowledge about entrepreneurship and foster an entrepreneurial spirit for the general public, especially students in the millennial generation.
The Millenial Entrepreneurship Webinar activity is held from 08.00 to 12.20 WIB via the Zoom platform. This activity is also accompanied by a giveaway that will be announced at the end of the event. This webinar also presents experienced and competent resource persons in the field of entrepreneurship. The webinar activity began with remarks from the Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Letters, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hanafi, S.Ag., M.Fil.l., remarks from the Head of the Indonesian Literature Department, Dr. Roekhan, M.Pd, remarks from the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Literature HMD, and remarks from the Chief Executive. Then the activity continued with an explanation of the PMW (Entrepreneurial Student Program) material presented by Andreas Syah Pahlevi, S.Sn., M.Sn as the supervisor of the Student Entrepreneurial Program at the State University of Malang. After explaining the material, there was a question and answer session and sharing. Then followed by the first speaker, Anggie Koeswinanto, the founder of Maz Wax Surabaya, continued with a question and answer session. The next session continued with the second speaker with the speaker Martalinda Basuki, the founder of Classic Chocolate. This activity ended with the MC’s announcement of the giveaway and closing.
One of the resource persons, Martalinda Basuki, a young entrepreneur who is the founder of Chocolate Classic, seemed to deliver material about entrepreneurship to the participants of the Millenial Entrepreneurship Webinar. Through this activity, participants can use the knowledge about entrepreneurship they get through the Millennial Entrepreneurship Webinar to create valuable innovations in the economic field.
