The event titled “Lokovasia 2024: A True Testament to the Unity of the Youth in Preserving Culture,” scheduled to take place on September 6-7, 2024, at the UB TV Room, Graha Rektorat, aims to celebrate and promote the preservation of cultural heritage through the active involvement of the younger generation. Collaborating with UIN Malang, this event aligns with which emphasizes promoting decent work and economic growth.
The primary objectives of “Lokovasia 2024” are, Foster Career Development and Economic Opportunities in the Cultural Sector. By providing a platform for cultural exhibitions, performances, and workshops, the event creates opportunities for students and young professionals to explore careers in the arts and cultural industries. This engagement not only highlights potential career paths but also encourages skill development and entrepreneurial ventures within the creative economy. Promote Innovation in Cultural Preservation,the event showcases how modern technology and creative approaches can be integrated with traditional cultural practices. By presenting innovative methods for cultural preservation, it ensures that traditional arts are maintained and adapted to contemporary contexts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and relevance. Strengthen Community and Institutional Partnerships, involving UIN Malang and other local institutions, “Lokovasia 2024” underscores the importance of collaboration in preserving cultural heritage. It builds stronger connections between educational institutions and the community, demonstrating a collective commitment to cultural preservation and sustainable development.
