On July 6, 2024, the Faculty of Letters (FS) held a Master of Ceremony (MC) certification test, which lecturers and students attended. The event, in-room A20 of the Joint Lecture Building (GKB) on the 4th floor, aims to equip participants with competence as professional MCs, develop their potential, and support faculty performance. This certification test is part of the capacity-building program for FS lecturers and students, focusing on improving public speaking skills. In an increasingly competitive era, the ability to become a professional MC is considered a significant added value for lecturers and students.

Participants take a series of certification tests that cover both theory and practice. They were tested on various aspects, including event management skills, speaking techniques, and improvisation skills. The participants expressed their enthusiasm in taking this certification test. “I feel like I gained much new knowledge and valuable experience. This will be very useful for my future career,” said Amanda, one of the students who took the certification test. With the implementation of this event, it is hoped that FS lecturers and students can be more confident and professional in various academic and non-academic activities and make a more significant contribution to the faculty and university.
